“Leo”

Leonidas Milton Pavlich

Leo is where it all began. Shortly after I met my husband and he closed on his first home, he was on the hunt for a Golden Retriever. We went to meet a litter in northern Arizona and will never forget this guy. While his siblings ran around, the chunk himself slept. He was just what he was looking for. Leo became such a gentleman, an easy dog to potty train (almost immediately), loved his crate from day one, and even more enjoyed every scouting, hunting, and shed hunting trip he could go on. Now, on our 7 acres, he doesn’t mind our chickens but any other bird that dares come near, he is off on the run to get them. He is a bird dog at heart!

In addition to our dogs we have a small and growing flock of chickens and guinea fowl. We currently have 2 roosters, 18 hens, and 2 guinea fowl. They are such a joy to our family and fortunately, our Goldens understand they are part of the family unlike all the other bird visitors we have on our land.
